FAQs

What credit cards do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard & American Express

Why do I need to have a credit card on file, is it secure?

When you go to place a bid, our system does a “test” transaction on your credit card for $1. This verifies that your credit card is valid. This one cent charge will then void off; you will not actually be charged the $1.
***Cards may also be used by the Auction to pay any relisting fees, storage fees or other insured fees gone unpaid.
Your card information is stored in a fashion that is in compliance with today's stringent credit industry standards and is secure.

What is a Buyer's Premium?

Many companies like auctions add a percentage to the final bid to offset costs which help bring in high quality merchandise with no or little reserves.

How do I know if I won my bid?

Depending on what you have set for your notifications within your account. Twin Auctions will send out confirmation emails or push notifications when you were the highest bidder. You can also see your wins in your account under your MESSAGE CENTER.

Why does the item I’m bidding on keep extending beyond the advertised end time?

If bids are placed within the last minute before the scheduled auction ending time, the clock will go back to one minute. They will keep extending back to one minute as long as bidding continues. Once there is a whole minute without any bidding, the auction will end.

How will I get paid if my items sell in the auction?

You will be paid by Email Transfer or cheque after the Auction gets paid by the buyer. Buyers are required to pay within 7 days so your Email Transfer/cheque will be within 3 business days of the Auction being paid.
